Testing Your Company's Preparedness

We then help put the training to the test by running crisis simulations, which test the company systems and preparedness and help identify areas for improvement.

Typical examples of the testing we offer, to suit a range of needs and cost structures, are: -

  • Short 2 hour or up to half day "desk top" exercises run in a training environment.
  • Remote and unannounced testing of individual crisis management teams via teleconferences. These are 3-hour sessions where the trainer reveals the developments within the scenario by fax or telephoned role-play and the team is required to respond to the situation and document the actions they take. Working with our partners in Europe, we have tested teams as far apart as Europe, Middle East & Africa from our base in New Zealand.
  • Real-time, multi-country or multi-location daylong simulations, which test the company's systems and its decision-making and communications capacity in circumstances that are as close to reality as is possible.

In these testing exercises, we always include simulated media interviews or other external communications activities working with Television presenter and BBC news correspondent Greg Ward
